Gluten-Free Deep Fried Oreos
Using The Really Great Food Company Tempura Batter Mix
YOU WILL NEED:
- 2 packages RGF Gluten Free Tempura Batter Mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 package gluten free chocolate/vanilla sandwich cookies
- 2 quarts vegetable oil, for frying
DIRECTIONS:
- Unless using a deep fryer, in a deep heavy pan, pour oil to a depth of 3” and heat to 375*.
- In a large bowl, add both packages of Tempura Batter Mix to 1 cup water. Whisk until batter is sticky and moist. Do not overwhisk.
- Dip cookies into batter, drain off excess and slide gently into hot oil frying 3-4 at a time. Turn occasionally and fry until crisp and a lightly golden color, about 2 minutes. Drain cookies on paper towel-lined plate and serve warm. Enjoy!
