Gluten Free Marble Cake

Using The Really Great Food Company Golden Cake Mix & Chocolate Cake Mix


YOU WILL NEED:

Golden Cake

  • 1 package of RGF Golden Cake Mix
  • 1 cup eggs or egg alternative(approx 4 large eggs)
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup water

Chocolate Cake

  • 1 package of RGF Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 cup eggs or egg alternative(approx 4 large eggs)
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp oil

 

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350*

 

DIRECTIONS(prepare each cake batter separately):

Golden Cake

  1. Mix eggs & water together in mixing bowl.
  2. Add oil to wet ingredients. Mix together.
  3. Add entire package of golden cake mix to wet ingredients. Beat at medium speed for 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth. Put aside.

Chocolate Cake

  1. Separately beat eggs.
  2. Add oil & water to eggs then beat again.
  3. Add entire package of chocolate cake mix to wet ingredients and beat at medium speed for 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth.

Combine – Makes 2 cakes or 4 loaves. 1 cake will be golden with chocolate swirl and the other will be chocolate with golden swirl.

  1. For the first cake or 2 loaves, pour the entire golden cake batter into pan or pans. Leave about 6 tablespoons of batter for the swirl in the 2nd cake.
  2. Once the golden cake batter is in the pan or pans, spoon 6 tablespoons(or 3 per loaf) of the chocolate cake batter on top giving it a checkerboard effect. Take a knife and swirl the chocolate throughout the cake or loaves.
  3. Repeat for the chocolate cake with golden swirl.
  4. Bake 35-45 minutes or until toothpick tests dry.

 

USE:

(4) 9″ x 5″ loaf pan or (2) 9″ x 12″ cake pans

 

Makes 2 cakes or 4 loaves!
